With the increasing popularity of Facebook, the viral platform is starting, to some extent, to lose control over some of its inner parts. Lately, the blue app has been flooded with enormous and very irrelevant advertisements and promotions that are popping in the wrong section of the platform. The Facebook company announced a month ago that it’s planning to launch a library that contains a list of the UK political adverts along with the names of the advertisers.
The debutant library is supposed to be encompassing only politically-based ads and promotions; yet dozens of variously different ads for a bundle of goods and products continue to pop up on multiple Facebook accounts. As of now, joining the new Facebook library of ads is open for any one; however, the notorious social media platform is aasuring that some rules are going to be implemented in the attempt to organize and acknowledge every political advertiser in the library.
Facebook Ads
The introduction of the new database of political advertisers on Facebook is indeed an awaited move by the popular app that’s been facing a tough time as many parties and individual opponents are attacking the platform and accusing it of interfering with the local political scenes in a number of countries. It’s indeed been admitted by the officials at the Facebook company that the social media platform is being utilized to discreetly interfere with the singnifcant local and international situations – such as the 2016 US presidential elections and the EU referendum in the UK as well. And in response to the severe attacks on the platform and accusing some of its members of facilitating the interference processes, developers at the Facebook company started to already deploy online databases in some countries, such as the US, the UK and Brazil, in order to prove the good will of the blue app and to be able to identify the members of the libraries and their political views and attitudes.
Facebook App
Yet, it seems that the Facebook app isn’t able to control the new libaraies as many ads about innumerable products and goods are starting to spread significantly which, as a result, alludes to the fact that Facebook didn’t appoint humans to manage and control these databases. Facebook officials stated that they’re currently investigating the situation and trying to come up with a fair solution for all of the parties involved. Weirdly enough, many advertisers said that they weren’t aware that the content of their advertisements is incompatible with the political theme of the newly launched Facebook library. Obviously, Facebook is coming across a very tough challenge as many officials and parties are attacking the socializing app for not being able to effectively manage its new tools and features which is starting to create a disturbing confusion and chaos.
